LIMA, Ohio – The Xenia Scouts fell 8-0 to the Lima Locos in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader at Simmons Field.
Lima's pitching staff held the Scouts to just two hits while the Locos scored in four different innings to secure the victory.
The Locos opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the first inning before extending their lead in the third on a solo home run and an RBI single.
Lima added two more runs in the fifth inning and three in the sixth to pull away, finishing with 14 hits on the afternoon.
Cayden Calloway and Mack Skeels recorded the Scouts' only hits of the contest, while Calloway also stole a base.
On the mound, Will Johnson made the start and allowed one run over two innings while striking out two. Caleb Shreve followed with two innings of relief, and Adam Pitts worked 1.2 innings before Ryan Redding recorded the final out.
The Scouts return home to face the Locos once more.
