Justin Garrido has been a pitching coach with the number one ranked Grand Canyon University club team that has been ranked in the top 10 all of 2026. The team has recently punched their ticket to the 2026 World Series.
He was an assistant coach at his high school alma mater, Christopher High School in California, before returning to Grand Canyon, where he played four seasons. He is a 2023 graduate of Grand Canyon University, majoring in cyber security.
His playing days included Garrido being a four-year member of the highly ranked GCU club baseball team that participated in the National World Series two times while he was a player. Helped the team win the National Championship in 2022. As a pitcher, Garrido posted a 2.28 ERA his senior year.
A native of Gilroy, California, Justin participated in baseball and water polo at Christopher High School. He was a two-time Junior Olympic water polo athlete. Garrido also received the Male Sports Character Award and also won a Division 2 CCS Championship during his senior year as a Cougar.
